LIP CUPPING: Full lips naturally, without injections!

I have always envied woman with those big, sexy, gorgeous, pillowy lips a la Angelina Jolie. While mine aren’t “thin” per say, they definitely aren’t full. While I like being me and looking like me, sometimes it’s fun to play dress up with my face! I was one of those people totally perplexed by the celebrities out there who one day had thin lips, the next day had full lips and swore it wasn’t surgery…yet wouldn’t say what exactly it was (ie: Kylie Jenner.) Normal people like you could care less about things like this, but the crazy beauty junkie in me HAD TO KNOW! :-P I just couldn’t believe she didn’t have work done because only surgery could give results like that…right? Wrong. After searching high and low, I came across this device called CandyLipz said to be what gives Jenner and others like her that full pout. I was a skeptic, so I did some research on it and TONS of women (including friends of mine) swear by it and similar lip cupping products. I am just shocked it’s been kept such a secret! So I’m here to share that secret for other beauty junkies like myself who are dying to know. :-D

So now…what exactly is “cupping” you ask? Medically, It’s an ancient Chinese and Middle Eastern therapy where cups are applied to the skin creating suction to stimulate the flow of energy. From WebMD: “Supporters of cupping therapy believe the suction of the cups mobilizes blood flow to promote the healing of a broad range of medical ailments.” It is said to help migraine, asthma and even high blood pressure! Cupping didn’t become popular cosmetically however, until recently. It is used for an array of things like ridding the body of cellulite, enlarging breasts and…..you guessed it – LIPS! :-D It is currently the ONLY 100% natural and safe method for lip plumping.

There are a variety of lip cupping devices on the market ranging in price (I will cover that at the end of this post). I went with the CandyLipz system because the reviews all seemed really good (although after I received it a friend told me that the cheaper models are just as effective). I do LOVE my CandyLipz though! As soon as I received the package I tore into it, read the leaflet to ensure I knew what I was doing and went to town! I was crazy about my results (see images throughout this post). They were exactly what I wanted and expected when I ordered the product. You can go from just a touch fuller or the complete duck-lips extravaganza depending on how long you leave it on. :-D As with anything there are pros and cons. The pros for me are: 1) Angelina Jolie-esqe lips in under five minutes by doing nothing more than suction cupping my lips, 2) Results are temporary lasting only max two hours at a time yet in the long run, lips will stay full with regular use – if that’s what you’re after, 3) It’s affordable as compared to invasive medical procedures and 4) It is really easy to use! The cons: I went overboard the first day I got it and it clearly states not to – so my lips were completely purple the next day…just one big hickey! Apparently this only happens the first few times you use it. Also, if I want full lips throughout my day, I have to bring the device with me and do it every couple of hours, otherwise they deflate. Waaah.

Overall, this is probably going to go down as my favorite product of the year! It is only February…but I have been dazzled! They just do exactly what they say and I’ve finally got to experience what it’s like to have big, sexy lips without having to inject my body with scary chemicals. :-D

Now for which one to get, and prices. CandyLipz is probably the most well known lip cupping device, but it’s pricey at $119 for the set. I really love mine though, so I would say it’s worth it. I have been told that cheaper models are just as effective however, but I can’t give my word personally since I haven’t used them. I found these ones online for you though.
